The Jazz Age 
The jazz age is one of the most famous parts of African American history. Jazz has affected many of African Americans during the 1920’s and it even cycled over to being popular to American society. Jazz was at its peak during the 1920’s it affected the generation ahead of it and made the young rebellious against their parents. Sadly it ended as soon as the great depression started.   


  • The jazz era was introduced by a commercial on the radio
  • It was a creation of African Americans that became popular among middle-class Caucasian Americans.
  • Jazz was brought into white society
  • Young people in the 1920’s were entranced by jazz
  • It made the first Generation of teenagers to rebel against their parents
  • Jazz brought back new fads of fashion
  • Jazz idealized young people and their taste for new things.
  • Jazz brought  to the world new dances like Fox-trot and jitterbug
  • Jazz in the 1920’s changed the African American’s way of life
